You asked for timely, relevant, and interesting information and topics, and the Office of Campus Activities is responding! In collaboration with top notch CUA faculty, this series promises to impress, inspire, and entertain.
A special thanks goes out to all the outstanding CUA faculty presenters who shared their time and expertise during the fall semester.
Please start making plans to participate in Dialogue on Demand workshops during the Spring semester, A new start time (6:00pm) and connections to themes of the Spring semester will make for great learning opportunities for all who attend.

*Tuesday, January 19
“Sex and the City of God: The Bishop’s Pastoral Letter on Marriage.” Dr. John Grabowski (Theology and Religious Studies) will talk about the recently released pastoral letter on marriage and the impact it may have on the Church and greater society. Dr. Grabowski was recently appointed to the Pontifical Council for the Family by Pope Benedict XVI.
*Tuesday, February 2
"Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks: Married to the Blues." Dr. Ernie Suarez (English) will discuss the Grammy Awards, featuring two artists that have been nominated. Also featured will be live remote interaction with Mike Mattison, lead singer of the Grammy Award-winning Derek Trucks Band!

“Sport Psychology 101: An Introduction to Strategies for Building Mental Fitness.” Dr. Keith Kaufman (Psychology) will present a talk in recognition of the Winter Olympics that addresses sport psychology and will offer strategies for building mental fitness.

“Women in Sports.” Dr. Sandra Hanson (Sociology, and Institute for Policy Research & Catholic Studies Fellow) will tie themes from the Winter Olympics to the celebration of Women's History Month.

“The Archaeology of Tomorrow.” Travis Price, AIA (Architecture and Planning) will complement International Week at CUA and discuss the archaeology of tomorrow, drawing on views of global sacred spaces and international design build work of CUArch students.

“Partners for Freedom? Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln in the Civil War Era.” Dr. Stephen West (History) will present a talk in celebration of Black History Month that focuses on the lives of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
*Wednesday, April 14
“Global Warming—Global Poverty: The Connections.” Dr. William Dinges (Theology and Religious Studies, and Institute for Policy Research & Catholic Studies Fellow ) will present a prelude to Earth Day by talking about the profound impact global warming has on the world’s poor.
